It would! I haven't tracked that closely given that there's really only one company to consider and that it's difficult to parse all of the different Y-DNA tests that they offer. I can try to gather that information if you think it'll be helpful.
I think it would help give a perspective on the use of DNA. Autosomal is very good for finding 1, 2, and maybe 3rd cousins with the larger numbers of people testing.
However, I often see people trying to make conclusions about ancestors that lived over 100 years ago strictly based on Autosomal DNA, which decreases by at least 1/2 in every generation. There are some remarkable things happening with Y-DNA and mtDNA that are leading to some real discoveries in our ancestors.
I would be interested in you and your followers opinion on the "DNA is a fraud" narrative being pushed by many internet experts at the moment.
Please read my last substack which explains my position regarding Jamie Andrews, Alexandra, Sasha Latypova and Mike Yeadon who are pusing the issue on this:- https://irishus.substack.com/p/final-proof-that-genetic-sequences?r=52nn5u
and also this discussion by Andrew Kaufman and Liev Dalton:-

I found the parameter for Y-DNA and posted it at https://open.substack.com/chat/posts/2928329e-3f19-42fe-a5f0-f521da60ac48
It would be nice to see the growth in Y-DNA and mtDNA database sizes.
